Meet The Trainers

Sasha Brainard

My name is Sasha Brainerd and I am a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and have a certification in Nutrition and Body Composition. It was during my years at University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA that I started focusing on how to integrate fitness into daily life and keep the exercise drive alive. This led me to get my personal training and change my college focus from Psychology to Exercise Science.

My goal as a trainer is to inspire others to reach their health and fitness destinations. As a trainer, I can help you stay accountable, create an exercise program just for you, and get you to your goals. If you really want it, you can achieve it! Whether you are new to working out, have been taking a long hiatus from exercise, or have hit a fitness plateau, I can get you to that next level! You can do this! IF YOU CAN, YOU MUST!

I am an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer. I have always loved being physically active and growing up I participated in every sport I could. I became a trainer at Kansas State University while working towards my Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. I have been a trainer at Heritage Park Fitness for three years. I really enjoy my clients and all the members at HP and get excited when people decide to make changes toward a healthier lifestyle and very proud when they succeed. I have experience working with a wide variety of clients and can develop a personalized plan to fit your individual goals and fitness level to help you look and feel better. With all the demands in our lives, I believe that you have to take care of yourself first in order to take care of everyone and everything else. My favorite saying is “There are three types of people in the world. Those that make things happen, those that watch things happen, and those that wonder what just happened.” Now is the time to make things happen in your life, come into Heritage Park Fitness and let me help you reach your goals.

I would describe myself as a high energy, no non-sense, and intensely dedicated to physical fitness for myself, and especially for my clients.  I have several goals I hope to achieve in the future.  First, increase my knowledge of exercise science and nutrition to better serve my clients. Next, instill a lifelong commitment to fitness in those I train and instruct, third expand my clientel to those interested in enhancing sports performance, and lastly open my own gym.  I believe there is no better gift a person can give themselves other than leading a healthy and active lifestyle due to the variety of positive benefits gained from doing so.  I want to act as the facilitator for those interested in embarking on such a lifelong commitment.

Leslie Meyer

My name is Leslie Meyer and am a certified personal trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine. I have a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology from Texas A&M University. I grew up with a love of sports and dance which still contributes to my drive towards the betterment of the human body. Previously, I worked in the medical field as an exercise physiologist and as a choreographer for dance teams in Texas. I became a personal trainer because I want to help others realize the great potential their body can achieve and promote a healthy lifestyle to all I encounter.

As a trainer I believe in functional fitness, focusing on building a strong body capable of doing real-life activities in real-life positions, not only lifting a specific amount of weight in an idealized posture created by a machine. Whether your just starting out, avid athlete, young or old, I will get you to your goal and help keep you motivated along the way. Getting in shape isn't just about an exercise routine, it's a lifestyle, and I would love to start you off on a journey to become the best you you can be!

Chris Tyler

Raised on Fort Hood, and graduating as an All-State football and track athlete from Ellison High School, I later attended Oklahoma State to continue my athletic career in football. I was quickly introduced to the world of strength and conditioning at OSU, where I trained and studied under the legendary power-lifter and coach Dan Austin. After a successful college career and many NFL teammates later, I graduated from OSU and continued on to play arena football for the Centex Barracudas until 2004.

As the American presence in the Middle East began to escalate, I knew it was my duty to serve the country and troops who had always taken care of me. I soon found myself in Iraq managing MWR facilities and events. ,Since that time, I have spent the last eight years touring the Middle-East country to country, changing soldier's athletic worlds. Generating fitness programs, classes, training methods and nutritional guidance have been the staple of my life, and I would enjoy nothing more than to prolong these methods at Fort Hood.
